Hello everyone!
On one of the days we spent with Ted and Pamela, we decided to make the trek out to Worcester to visit the Ecotarium! It's a science museum, which is always fun for nerds like us, but we made the special trip out because we heard that they had a tree canopy walkway.
After spending a few hours inside looking at the bees, playing around with sound waves, fossils, etc, we headed outside for our 'walk'.
I thought it would actually be a lot bigger than it turned out to be. It ended up being only 3 different bridges and stations where we could look for birds and other wildlife high up in the trees 'just like scientists'. It was definitely aimed at children, and we didn't actually end up seeing very many wildlife, but we still made it fun for ourselves haha
We stayed up there for awhile taking photos, looking for birds through binoculars, and hanging out for awhile enjoying the peacefulness of being high up in the trees.
I have to say though, my favorite part of the canopy walk was the zip line!
nothing is too scary when you're only watching others go through it, but when you're the person doing it... haha
I think this part was the scariest part -- right before you know you're about to drop freely for 7 feet or so before getting caught by the zip line...
If you have children in your life, or if you are a child at heart like us, Ecotarium is a fun place to spend the day.
Especially with fun friends! =)
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend, and thanks for dropping by!
